Post-Podcast Interview :: Megan Weinzierl of Artista Apparel

After a couple of weeks off, a new Pole Parlour podcast episode is launched, and this week we have a guest from my new home town of Austin, Texas! Megan Weinzierl is the pole wear designer and owner of Artista Activewear. On this episode, we talk about what inspired Megan to start Artista back in 2014, the real deal behind being a full time pole dance boss babe, and we get a little political as she shares why she feels it’s so important to include dancers of all shapes, ethnicities, and gender in her brand. Watch or listen to the episode here, then read more from Megan below!

Where did you grow up, and what is your current home town?
I’m a Texas native. I grew in up in Midland and Dallas.  I spent 7 years in New York, and my hometown for the last 8 years has been Austin.

Can you share a favorite pole dance photo of yourself?
This was hard to find!  Since starting the business, I’ve pulled back big on personal pole time. (pictured with my first teacher, Ember Ashe, and friend Jenny Kemp, SPC 2012)

And a favorite non-pole-life photo?
Texas is a hot a lot. My sister and I made a nap spot outside one January.

What’s your go-to pole move?
Definitely cupid. I feel awesome in that move.

Give us a sexy floorwork song.

What’s a YouTube pole dance video we should check out?
It’s an old favorite.

Give us a song that makes you want to immediately strip off your clothes and jump on the pole.

Who should we follow on Instagram?

Show us an inspiring image.

Who would you like to see interviewed on the Pole Parlour Podcast?
My girl Nia Burks.

You're the best, Megan! Thank you for welcoming me to Austin! Xx
