This week on the podcast, we have ponytail whipping Aussie pole babe, Bailey Day! On this episode, we talk about how Bailey—a mostly self-taught dancer—keeps inspired and motivated when training solo; we learn about her Bailey’s Basework program; she offers up advice on how we can develop our own unique style of pole; and we hear all about her experience teaching, competing, and performing in Australia and the U.S. Check out Bailey's full episode here, then check out more from Bailey below!
Where did you grow up, and what is your current home town?
Canberra, Australia and I still live here!!
Can you share a favorite pole dance photo of yourself?
This photo was taken at the end of my Miss Pole Dance Australia performance. I was unbelievably happy here, this is my all-time favorite theme. I managed to get through my routine in my favorite pair of heels that I was so worried to wear because they were super high for me then but I loved them too much not to wear them. It was always my ultimate pole dream to perform at Miss Pole Dance Australia, and I did it :)
And a favorite non-pole-life photo?
I could not chose just one. These people and animals are what make me happy every day. My dog Cali, he is my best friend. My bunny Sunny, he would spend hours training with me when I use to train at home only. He is the best training partner. My Dad, this was the first time he had ever seen me pole dance. And my husband Carter, he makes me laugh every day, I love him endlessly.
What’s your go-to pole move?
Floorwork always. You can make it slinky and sexy, I love everything about floorwork in super high heels.
Give us a sexy floorwork song.
What’s a YouTube pole dance video we should check out?
This is the video that made me want to pole dance.
Give us a song that makes you want to immediately strip off your clothes and jump on the pole.
Any song by Drake. Too Much is my favorite.
Show us an inspiring image.
Maddie Sparkle and her middle splits always inspire me, lol. One day I will be able to do them like her.
Who would you like to see interviewed on the Pole Parlour Podcast?
Thank you so much, Bailey! XXX MUAH!
