Post Podcast Interview :: Kitty Velour

The babelicious Kitty Velour is this week's guest on the podcast, and it's such a fun episode! If you haven't checked it out yet, you can listen to or watch it here. Then get more goodies from Kitty below...

Where did you grow up, and what is your current home town?
I grew up in Devon, which is south west England in the countryside. It’s very beautiful, but I lived in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere and it was very boring. Nothing exciting ever happened! And some people could be very close-minded and judgemental. So I always dreamed of moving to London, bright lights, big city and all that - and here I am! I've been living in London for about a year and a half, and I feel so at home. It's such an inspiring, creative city with so many things to do. I found my place in the circus, cabaret, pole community and I love the vibrance of the people here, and at parties I often meet photographers, fashion designers, artists and other performers; and they're so driven and passionate. It can be tough too living in such a mad, wild city and it's cut-throat in some ways. The best of the best are here in London, and it's a wonderful environment to thrive in if you're an ambitious creative. I freaking love it.

Can you share a favorite pole dance photo of yourself?

And a favorite non-pole-life photo?

What’s your go-to pole move?
JADE SPLITS. I love them so much haha!

Give us a sexy floorwork song.

What’s a YouTube pole dance video we should check out?

Give us a song that makes you want to immediately strip off your clothes and jump on the pole.
(every time this comes on I'm like HOLY SHIT THIS IS MY JAM *starts grinding*)

Who should we follow on Instagram?

Show us an inspiring image.
I love this picture because there's something majestic about us all standing there scantily clad on stage, it's like we're queens or goddesses. Owning our shit, running the world.

Who would you like to see interviewed on the Pole Parlour Podcast?
Jamie Taylor - she's such a beautiful dancer and I would love to hear her story.

Thanks so much, Kitty! Meow!
