Post-Podcast Interview :: Mona Marie

I know I say it all the time, because it's true, but I am for real SO EXCITED for this week's podcast with one of my uber pole crushes, Mona Marie! On this episode, we talk about how Mona—a self-taught pole dancer—first discovered pole while visiting a strip club, her goals and role as an entertainer dancing at clubs in New York City, her experience choreographing for Madonna on her Rebel Heart Tour, and how she is serving her community in the Bronx with her pole studio, Poletic Justice. Listen to or watch Mona's full episode here, then check out more from Mona below!

Where did you grow up, and what is your current home town?
I grew up in New York City and currently live in The Bronx.

Can you share a favorite pole dance photo of yourself?
Solo

With Doubles Partner

And a favorite non-pole-life photo?
There is something freeing about this image that I will always love.
(Note from Crimson: This is definitely still a pole life photo, but it's hot as hell, so we'll go with it!)

What’s your go-to pole move?
My handsprings of course!

Give us a sexy floorwork song.
I love music I can get lost in and really feel in the moment.

What’s a YouTube pole dance video we should check out?
I am not a huge YouTuber but I do enjoy watching videos of Doris Arnold, Owner of Francoise Studio in Paris.

Give us a song that makes you want to immediately strip off your clothes and jump on the pole.
Oh Boy, there are so many! But if I am about to shut it down and I need a song to breath life into me lol It would be Dreams and Nightmares by Meek Mills

Who should we follow on Instagram?
@Dorisarnoldpoledancer  I adore this woman, and @Kiska.Pole The energy of this studio is everything!

Show us an inspiring image.
Dita Von Teese is my Idol and she always inspires me to just be different and stay true to myself.

Who would you like to see interviewed on the Pole Parlour Podcast?
I would say more Pole Entertainers from the Nightlife. We are all united by our love for Pole!

Thank you so much, Mona Marie! MUAH! <3
